Hi there!
I am Kittiya Chaiyachati, M.S., CF-SLP
[kɪɾijə ʃaijəʃadi]
(kid-dee-yah, shy-yah-shah-dee) ...I know, it's a tough name for most to say :)
I’m Kittiya, Speech-Language Pathologist clinical fellow at Scoop! I speak Thai and English, while learning some Spanish, French, and Korean. I graduated from Georgia State University and earned my Masters at New York University. I have had 8 years of experience working with autistic children and the pediatric population as a former preschool teacher, registered behavior technician, and current SLP.
I am passionate about providing person-centered therapy and creating a safe, compassionate, neuroaffirming, and multicultural-affirming environment. I believe in accessible services to all abilities and demographics.
I am so excited to work with you and your child at Scoop Speech to get the support they need! In my free time, I love to paint, do crafts, listen to music, go hiking, and spend time with my family and 3-year-old pup, Kylo! May the Force Be with You!

My Story!
I started as a psychology major at Georgia State University, working as a registered behavioral therapist at the Marcus Autism Center for 4 years. I learned a lot about applied behavior analysis but felt like my passion was geared towards communication to decrease frustration and increase autonomy for the child. When I visited my kiddos at the Emory Autism Center, a preschool I previously worked at, my former kiddo who worked on speech approximations to say words like "mama", "buh-buh" (bubbles), and "ka-ka" (crackers), walked up to me and said, "Hi Ms. Kittiya". I was very touched and of course, teared up, and realized how significant and rewarding it is to help others with their communication skills. That moment became the big inspiration for what sparked my passion for speech.

Fast forward to 2020, I began my journey as a graduate student at New York University's speech pathology program. I have now officially graduated from the program after completing coursework and graduate student clinician externships. I am thrilled to continue gaining independence and therapy techniques to add to my clinical toolbox that fit my personality as a clinician!
